Hello buds, i have notice that in the last 2 oil changes i only drain 1 qt of oil, i changed it every 4 month becouse i dont use it that much, but recently i have been driving it daily and last week i check the level and it needed to add 2 qts, whats the deal is the engine gone bad already, i have been using 10w30 full synt, should i change oil type?

My 2007 with the MDS system requires 5W20, not sure if the 2004 requires this winter blend. Check your manual or the oil fill cap will tell you what to use,

I have an '04 5.7L as well and it requires 5w-30. Like fascistfaction said check your oil fill cap to confirm. If not there it should be in your owners manual.

Pre-'05 Hemi engine requires 5w-30. But that ain't gonna make a difference as far as burning or losing oil. Have you checked for leaks? The Hemi is not really known to be an oil burner, so I'd be looking for a leak before digging into anything else. I'd for sure pull a plug and look for fouling though.
I run a premium synthetic and change at 5k intervals and even at that duration the oil at change time is right where it was on the stick when I put it in...
