Default speakers quit working in my 2005 Durango

my wife turned on our Durango this morning and the sound from the VES system isn't working anymore.

All of the modes are working and everything still displays but there is no sound.

The wireless headset still works and plays sound for all modes, there's just nothing coming out of the speakers.

If anyone can help me, I'm desperate as we're not ready to get rid of our Durango. If it's a quick fix that I can do at home, I'd prefer that over taking it to a dealer and paying "way too much" for someone else to flip a switch.

Thanks.

Turn the headphones off by taking the batteries out and see if that helps.

sorry for the confusion ... the headset works fine.

it's the speakers throughout the interior that quit working.

try removing the radio fuse from the fuse panel (drivers kick panel) and reinstalling

pulled the radio fuse and that didn't work either ... I guess I'm heading to a dealer. Great!

I know that there is a function (the manual details it) that allows the passengers to listen to the ear phomes while the driver can listen to another station via the speakers (they work independently). I never tried it on mine because my kids are too young to wear the headphones,
