Finally able to get a code after 60k miles of the of the same intermittent problem.

The filter are fine. Problem most happens when car is cold. I need diagrams for the L/R solenoid and its location to perform some checks.

Who has this information that I can access right know?

I don't what to cut the harness. Interesting read and I have some of the conditions described but most of the time the problem is going into reverse after a cold start.
