rear spring 'clang' noise in turns
whats up guys - yet another issue with the 07 durango!
is there suppsed to be spring retainers for the rear springs? I have none and They seem to loosen when body roll in turns, over bumps etc as the suspension extends full travel the spring becomes loose and moves in the cup - making this insanely irritating noise like a buoy knocking against a dock or something - i thought for along time the spare tire or maybe something in the gas tank
but i climbed under the truck as somebody else rocked the truck and identified its the springs - if i squeeze/hold the spring in place as the body rolls the noise is gone
why would springs be so loose?
dealer parts counter is suggesting coil spring isolators? for a 2007 - i cant find any reference to them!?

Mine in my 2004 did have rubbers for the top. There was no way the spring would ever move with the shocks on. They limit the travel as well as the center link. The rear axle has to drop a few more inches before you could ever have a loose spring. Let us know what you find
