coolant leak under air filter box

Default coolant leak under air filter box

Hello, i have a coolant leak coming from an electronic valve seated right under the air filter box, do i have to replace the whole valve or just fix it wuht a new gasket, couldnt find the valve name either,,,thankyou for the help

OZ:

That would be your Aux Coolant Pump leaking which is common. It helps get the coolant mke the long trip to the rear heater core.
They go for ~$100-$130, and you can install it yourself pretty easily.

If your coolant is in need of a flush/refill, this would be a good time to do it all.

I have new hoses and a new T stat for my 04 to go in this Spring.

Thanks Don, is there any way to fix it with a new O-ring or something?.. i have been spending a lot of money on my cars lately, just fixed a rear diferential on my jeep liberty.. :/

Possibly you could removed it and take it apart to see where the leak is. Being pretty much plastic, I think the most common repair is replacement.

If you are short on the bucks for now, you might try temporarily installing a short piece of tubing in its place till you can fix the old one, or afford a new one.
