Default 04 Durango - few issues

Hello all,

I read most of the time on the forum but never post. I have a few issues with my Durango and need to address them ASAP.

Last issue happened tonight and scared the hell out of me. I was at the stoplight waiting for the green, radio on and all of a suddent, the passenger side tweeter started making a skreaching noise, like a bad connector, VERY loud. Even if the volume is down, noise is as loud and noticed the same issue on the driver's rear door speaker. Is this an amplifier problem or loose connections somewhere?

Second, my CEL comes on randomly, code is P0406, something with the EGR valve, easy to replace and cheap to fix? Truck often stalls when turning and stopping. It's dangerous as I almost got rear ended a few days ago.

I've replaced both front shocks, balljoints and wheel alignement just before Christmas and drove about 2000kms since - front end still clunking when going over bumps and road irregularities, i've replaced the stabilizer bar bushings about a year ago, could they be shot alreay?

I'm at 63,000 miles, so this means transmission flush, diff fluid change and spark plugs over the above repairs, I feel that tonight was just the drop that overflew the glass of water when it comes to Chrysler products. I've always driven and enjoyed them but always had annoying issues. I'm ready to sell this vehicle and walk away from Chrysler once and for all.

Spark plugs, what kind of plugs? big job to do it myself. I'm not a mechanic but i've alway changed my own plugs.

I absolutely love my Durango, roomy, stylish and comfortable but I need these issues fixed, could someone help me?

THe Hemi comes with Champion coppers and there are 16 plugs that will need changed. The guys in the Audio / Visual section may be able to help with the deafening tweeter. I would make sure that all of the suspension and steering parts are tight such as the control arms,

Thanks for the reply FF. What do you mean by making sure the suspention is tight? Is there a way that you can tight it? It got a wheel alignment done so I would assume that everything was tight, especially the control arms and tie-rods.

sbtadt, I replaced the stabilizer bar bushings last year, well maybe a year and a half ago, I'm thinking it might be that again.
