We recently purchased a 2005 Durango that had a few items the dealership promised to fix for us. One is the latch on the 3rd row seat (it is missing from the passenger side). When we called today to check on it, they said Dodge is telling them the 3rd row has a latch on the lower side but the latch on ours is actually on the top of the seat near the headrest. I'm just wondering (short of taking it to a Dodge dealer), is there any way to find out what the part number for that latch is? A diagram or something? I went to the Dodge website and I, too, am confused as it does seem to show a side latch for that 3rd row (similar to what we have on our 2nd row). Sorry to ramble and hope my question isn't too confusing!

 

Any dealer's parts department can pull up an exploded view and show you all the part numbers. If they haven't volunteered that info, they are out to screw you out of the repair.

Better to hear it here than to find out later at the hands of a stealer.
