Default Gas Mileage

I have a 2008 Dodge Durango with a v-6. What is the typical mpg most people are getting?

The Gen2 v-6 should get about 18MPG in good conditions and will have little/no excess power. Thus hard acceleration to make up the difference on the power situation will likely drop that to 15MPG-ish.

Also would depend on your tires, 17" or 20". With the V6 I would hope 17's. Aso in town or highway driving. I have a 4.7 and 20" rims average around 10-12 mpg city.

My wife's has the 4.7 and 17s, and she gets 12-13 in town/city. Last long drive we took (highway), it managed 16-18 depending on how the wind was hitting us. Your V6 will probably get the same or slightly worse. In these heavier vehicles, lack of power compared to the V8s can hurt the V6's MPGs, depending on how you drive.

With your 3.7 V6, you must not have 4x4. Or AWD, as it wasnt an option with a
V6 . Saying this you might get a little better gas milage in the city, but I wouldn't expect anything over 13-14 mpg on a good day with good gas. Anything with ethanol will lower your gas milage. Keep up maintaince and proper tire pressure for best results.

And it is a 5000 pound suv so I wouldnt hope for car like milage.
