Sorry if this is in wrong place..

2007 Durango Lmt. Hemi ...
wondering if anyone else has expirienced this?? radio will just shut down randomely and then after about 5 seconds turn back on, almost like a dead short as radio goes black but then just starts back up sound and then life to display. Weird thing is it seems like an overheating issue as it only happens after being on for about 20 minutes and once it starts it will be like 10 minute intervals after initial 20 minutes..
thoughts ??

 

Does sound like a failing stereo headunit or failing amp. I have had that happen twice on my Alpine both times requiring a replacement.
