Default 04 Durango instrument problems

Hey everyone,
04 durango having cluster problems. lights and guages going crazy.... runs fine, but when turn key off truck tries to continue to run. About a month ago I had a leak from windsheild on driver side. Thought it was running down to fuse block and shorting. Took compressed air and blow out good. Problem went away, but now back again... no leaks for a month though. Anyone got any ideas??? Thanks

+1. Get it fixed ASAP via the recall.

The alternative is that the dash catches on fire and you loose the entire vehicle. Since you already have the short symptoms, it is only a matter of time until one of those shorts combusts and she burns down.

Lonzy:

While you are at it, have your battery load tested. A dead or dying battery can cause all sorts of electrical mayhem with our Durangos and Dodge vehicles in general.

If its the oem battery, it should be replaced as a preventative maintenance on age alone!

Changed battery about 3 weeks ago. I did take the fuse block off at the kick panel and found a ton of water/moisture. Dryed it all out and put back together. I did not take it apart last time just blowed it out from front. Everything is work as it should now. Is there a way to find out if cluster has already been replaced, without pay a dealer to check it?

You should not have to pay a dealer anything to "check" the vehicle.

They can check whether the recall has been performed or not by you giving them your VIN number. No cost to you.

If the recall has not been performed, they should do it at no charge. Its a recall.

www.dodge.com has a recall section under the 'for owners' section:
