I've got a 2007 without hood struts, did the 2nd gen's come with hood struts at all? I just added some to my charger and I want to do the same for the durango if I can find the parts.

The Gen 2 D's have a prop rod. The hood for the Gen 2 is one heavy hood. I am pretty sure that my 01 had struts,and it's hood was bigger and did not weigh anything near what my 04 hood does.

thanks Don, I was looking at mine trying to figure out how to rig some up but I wanted to see if any of the "nicer" ones had struts or the big coil spring on the hindge before I go hacking into it like a college science project.
