07 Durango Power Seat Problem
I just bought a used 07 Durango two weeks ago and all of a sudden the driver's power seat moves up, down, and reclines but will not move fore and aft. I suspect the seat switch or the seat motor. Any thoughts?
Is there an online source anywhere for a seat wiring diagram so I can diagnose the switch and motor?

Update: So I installed a new switch and pfft the new switch fails. Dammit!
Off to the dealer I go to buy another switch AND a fore/aft seat motor. At first they tell me I need a complete power seat rack for >$600!!! However, my dealership found a comment on their parts system that showed for fore/aft issues there is a power motor kit available (Chrysler pn 68046501AA). $80 later I had the power motor kit in hand. I found it cheaper online but my wife could not wait. It is HER Dingo!
The instructions state the fore/aft motor can be swapped without removing the seat, but I'm saying bollocks to that! There is no way to get all of seat wiring harness removed without removing the seat from the vehicle.
So I took the seat out and removed the seat cushion and wiring harness. Out of curiosity I hooked a 12V power supply to the fore/aft motor and surprisingly it functions in both directions! I'm really feeling screwed now. Next I took the wiring harness and ringed out all four motor circuits. No problem with the wiring harness.
Since I have the new motor kit anyway I swap out the motor and the short and long flexible shafts. But I'm not feeling like this will solve the problem. I get everything back together under the seat cushion and reinstall it in the Dingo. Surprise, everything works! The motor must have been the problem, but I'm damned if I know why. Perhaps the brushes were worn causing an amperage spike that fried the switch.
Commander-in-Chief Home is happy. She can move the seat forward so she can drive her Dingo. I am happy because I get my Avenger back. I much prefer driving the Avenger to the Dingo. The Dingo is too friggin big for my taste!

I believe this is the issue with my SIL's 2006 Durango. She said her switch doesn't work trying to move the seat up and down. This is the only thread I can find on the web referencing that part number. Has anyone else completed this work and can give me an idea what's involved. This is my first post here, but I work on vehicles often. I appreciate any input. Thanks-Jason
I had a similar issue where driver seat would not move for and aft. After taking apart and tracing wiring i noticed a small burnt spot touching the seat frame. Replaced switch(i fried during testing of switch and motor by jumping the wires) and patched naked spot on wire.
Worked for over a year, not its not working again. I took apart and noticed green/purple wire insulation was mostly melted from switch to quick connect on side of seat.
Work in progress, but my wiring DEFINITELY needs worked on. Hope this helps someone.
