My wife drives a 2005, 5.7 2wd with 150,000 miles. I have been experiencing the compressor and condenser fan shutting down after about 15 to 20 minutes of running. It does not matter which mode, fan speed, vehicle speed, etc. Charge is good, condenser fan is running (both high and low speeds) and all controls inside seem to be working. I have changed the pressure transducer on the liquid line but that changed nothing. If I unplug the transducer and plug back in cond. fan comes on low for about 10 sec. and then goes off. Shut vehicle off and let sit for a while and you have another 15 to 20 minutes of cold air. Any help appreciated.

Thanks, Toby Allen - Arkansas

BTW, I did use the search and had no luck. Or I just may be search illiterate.

Rear air is not blowing as cold as front

Wow, 20 views and nobody has a clue, both lines coming out of rear expansion valve are cold and suction line gets hot when you run the rear fan.

How do you know the charge is good?

LOL at your last post. It had been only 50 minutes since your original question. Any 20 viewers is nothing. The pros only come out at night anyways.

Removed the rear passenger control module and worked good for about 2 hrs last night, 2 hrs today then back off. There was a code that showed "rear blend door high input. Could the problem be in the main climate control module?

I did put gauges on it and had it fast idled with a fan in front. I usually repair my own stuff but this is blowing my mind. Hoping there are some big brains on here that can help me out.
