I have an 04 Durango that has been a GREAT car however it has 133000 miles and all of a sudden, about 1/2 the time it feels like I am pulling a trailer. RPM's run way high and it takes forever to get it up to speed. Other times it runs great and has plenty of power. I have changed fluid and filter. Could this be the TPS ( throttle position sensor ) or some other sensor/module? The check engine light Does not come on. I have not put it on a code reader yet though. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It has the 4.7
It only does this sometimes.
Does not matter hot or cold.
Sometimes it seems to fix it if I stop, kill the engine and restart. (may be coincidence)

 

Hi ,my durango 04 do that last year, well something like that,but the check engine light come on,in my case it was the transmition solenoid,it was running ind second gear
