I got a 2008 Dodge Durango with the 5.7 Hemi. I want to put smaller rims on it. I did this to my truck to help save gas and still keep a sharp look to it. i want to put maybe a 15 or 16 inch rim. does anyone know what will fit correctly. I also plan on putting a K7N air filter and Gibson Exhaust....

 

Welcom to the site. You will need smaller wheels not just the rim of the wheel. Smaller tires will wear faster,

I wouldnt go any smaller than a 16.

 

16" rims will not fit over the calipers. Our rear rotors alone are 13.7"

 

so it looks like I'm stuck with 18 inch rims. Was just trying to think of ways to help be more gas efficient. But going with a K&N air filter and Exhaust is a good start.

 

Get a HemiFever tuner, try out the economy tune. Sean sells them for 265 each with three general tunes of towing, economy, performance, or stock.

Yeah, they started with 17s, and then 18s were the upgrade (maybe even 20s for some model years?). My wife's has 17" alloys.

 

Mine came standard with 20" wheels (2007 LTD.)

Mine came with the18 inch rims for the 08 SLT with the Hemi. Thanks for the heads up on the tuner. If it gets More performance and saves gas I'm all over it. This is my first Dodge so thanks to everyone for the knowledge. I've owned Chevy and Fords my whole life, but I got a killer deal on the Durango and I have been pleased so far
