Default HELP...Simple Durango Stereo Question

Hello everyone,

I have a 2005 Durango with the REF stereo unit in it. I am just wondering if you can simply take it out and replace it with a 2006 Durango REF unit with the AUX input, or a RAQ unit, or any other model for that matter. Would it just plug in with the old connections and work? Would the AUX input work? All these stereo units connections look the same and would fit in the dash. I am not looking to replace it with an aftermarket stereo.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Check out these guys in Orland -- http://www.oemautopartsco.com/ -- they really know their stuff and prices are very aggressive.

Their web site is well done and can answer most questions--they will also takes questions over the phone and are very customer friendly -- a rarity in this day and time.

Yep did it last week. Bought one on ebay for $55 and put it in. Took me about 10 Min to do the complete job. My wife loves it!

Thanks to everyone for the help. I ordered one online and just got it installed today. Everything works perfect and I couldn't be happier.

Thanks again.
