Default Advise: Shocks/Struts replacement

Hi all

I am planning to change the Shocks in my 08 Durango, its Hemi 4X4. I need your expert advises for best shocks. My magor drive is on road with all 7 passengers seated & luggage.once in a month offroading in desert. Th OEM shocks went for 35000 Miles max. SO I need smooth ride for long run in heavy weights or no wights. hope this clarifies

Thanks

Shahz:

I recommend the Bilstein shocks. If you search the Inet for advice, you should find a lot of positive comments for them.

They carry a lifetime warranty, and a set of 4 should run you around $260-$270 buck shipped to your door.

Check out shox.com.

I got mine from Summit Racing in Akron, Ohio since most places were out of them at the time. Summit was very good about matching the shox.com price as well.

I have Bilsteins for the last 30,000 miles and they are still like the first day I installed them on My Durango. KYB make a decent shock also.

My wife does 99% on road driving, so I put in Monroe Reflex shocks. Not as good (but about $100 cheaper) than the Bilsteins, but they also carry a lifetime warranty. No complaints about them at all.
