can my 4.7 from my 09 ram (totaled) fit in my 05 durango with 4.7
I have a 2009 ram with 4.7, totaled, Id like to swap the 4.7 from the 2009 ram into the 2005 durango that has the 4.7 as well.
I think they are different motors??
If so, what can I do to make everything work?
Anyone? Why do I feel like this forum isnt as helpful the others one's i am apart of... R1-forum.com and corvetteforum.com are GREAT places for tech advice but after reading some replies to other peoples posts I feel like people want to make other people feel dumb and not very helpful in general..
Not trying to talk **** but JUST SAYING there is gotta be someone around here with this type on knowledge...

Gville:
My first thought on your question is that it can be done since the upgraded 4.7L 303 HP engine was available in the Durango from 2008 on.
Since you have the whole vehicle on hand, that should be helpful in making the swap. I would venture though that it would be quite an involved project.
I do not know of anyone as of yet that has done this specific swap.
What happened to the 4.7 in your 05?
Don
