I need to install trailer lights with an electric brake controller on a 2005 Durango.

Is there any existing wire in the factory harness for that purpose or did only the towing package include the wire?

Mine is a Limited with the tow package so i already have the 7-Pin/4-Pin connector in the back. When i installed my brake controller there was a pigtail assembly and a connector up front that was already pre-wired, does it look like you have that up front? sorry i don't have any pictures of it.

 

Nope, there is no sign of an unused pigtail either under the dash or under the rear... I guess will have to assume there was a separate wire loom for the tow package models. Maybe my auto electric guy will find something when I bring it down to him tomorrow,
