I recently purchased an 04 Durango. It came with a DVD player but unmounted. All I have is the DVD player, no mount brackets or screws. So I am wondering what I need and how to install the DVD player. Not liking the hole in my roof. If I cant get the dvd player to play I at least want to mount it so it will cover the hole.

 

if its a factory ves system then instal is not that bad. ive done 2 one in an 04 and then an 05. you need a roof mount bracket. you can get at dealer or maybe ebay. and yes this does req. you to cut the roof . but if you can find they have a pre made template witch makes it easier. there are two diff. brackets one for sunroof and one with out. it does make a diff. i may have the template and maybe install instructions. i will have to check. no promises. you will also need two screws to secure it . and the wire harness to run to the radio. sounds bad but if you r handy its really not that bad. just dont mess up the cut in roof. lol. but you will save $$ from dealer. hope this helps..sorry just relised you all ready have to hole. ok then you need bracket ,screws , and the metal clip taht snaps up into the bracket.

 

I was thinking of putting a factory dvd player in my 04 Durango.It doesnt have a DVD player or sunroof now. I guess from heemi's comments I wont find a wiring harness under the roof liner and I am going to have to get the wiring harness to do the install? comments?
