Default 2005 Durango Limited front end Question

2005 Durango Limited Question
I have a 2005 Dodge Durango Limited with a shake in the front when I reach 65mph on the highway. If i get it to 70mph it goes away. The other day I had the 2 front tires removed and re-balanced. Seems it is worse/no better. It starts to shake in the steering wheel. While going the 65mph I put the car in neutral and still the shake.

Durango Hemi Limited
41k miles
good tires.

What would you recommend?

Going to another place for re-balancing or trying to get the tires re-balance on the car?

I have a 2004 Dodge 1500 SLT pickup using a plow on it for the past 4 years and the front end on that on the highway is perfect no shake at 65mph.

Other than the tires what could cause this, tie rod or some thing in the front steering?

TIA

I would rotate the tires. If the shake is still there exactly as before, you just 100% eliminated the possibility of bent rims/unbalanced tires/any other wheel problems causing this. If the shake goes away, or changes significantly in some way, then there you have it, its something to do with the wheels/tires/rims.

Do what JasonW said first. If that doesn't solve it, have the alignment checked.

DSS:
+3 on sounding like some sort of a tire/rim issue.
Move the fronts to the back, and see how that affects the issue.

Make sure that all 4 of your tires are the same size and close in tread depth as well.

All tires are the same size and make. On the city driving front end is smooth and rock solid when hitting bumps.
On the highway the Durango starts to shimmy at 60 a bit and gets more shaky up to 70mph.
Next week going to Hogan Tires and have them Road force balancing the 2 front tires and see if that helps if not going to a front end place to have it checked out>

I will post what and if someone finds the problem

TIA
