I have a 2004 Durango, 5.7L 2 wheel drive. I have noticed over the last year or so that it would run rough any time I ran it through the carwash and in a heavy rain. I found a few threads talking about the cowl leaking and sure enough mine leaks. I tried to start it after the last heavy rain and it is running really rough. Check engine light is on and sometimes it blinks. Code reads P00302 which I looked up to find misfire on cylinder # 2. I am not a mechanic, I can turn a few wrenches so I replaced the coil on # 2. Nothing changed. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated.

 

Did you fix the leaking cowl?

 

I just figured out that the cowl was leaking after the last rain, I have had it parked under a shelter since then. Once I get it running right I will replace the cowl.
