Fan Blower Resister wasn't the problem....
Unlike many noobs to the forums, I spent all morning using the search feature and came up with not only my symptoms but a recommended course of action. My front blower is bad.
I tried a new resistor, to no avail. (50 bucks so far...eh) The air came on, indeed better than it had before, but before I threw my arm out of socket patting myself on the back, I noticed that the fan was making a weird plastic grinding noise.
Is there any user serviceable parts in that blower assembly? Can you clean it or something? Or is it another 60 bucks for a new motor?
Any other words of wisdom before I slap down some more bread?
TIA,
Dave

you got robbed on the resistor, should have cost $20, however a grinding noise from the fan would be a either a bad bearing or a bad motor, either one means that you need to replace the blower assembly
