Exclamation Help help help!!!!

Need help yall my 05 Durango limited AWD with 5.7L is having issues. My wife was driving it when the 4 lo light started to flash (she was NOT in 4lo) and then it started to dog down, and the tires started to chirp like trying to power break. (Her words i was not in the vehicle at the time). If anyone knows what might be going on and how to fix please let me know, I pray that it is a sensor going out and not my tranny. So I beg you please any if you have anything that would help please let me know cause I love my durango and want to drive it again.

This seems to be a common issue with earlly Durangos (2004 and 2005).

Check this thread:

You can continue to drive it by unplugging the connector to the Transfer Case. This will make your D only in AWD mode until you get it fixed, not allowing it to go into 4 LO.

It appears most are fixing this by replacing the transfer case motor. Should cost around $500at the dealer, or much cheaper if you DIY.
