stock intake mod ?

Default stock intake mod ?

06 4.7 pulled that piece out of the intake box that takes in air initially n thinkin of making opening bigger . So will this mess with the pvc? pcv ? ( too early for my brain) breather line n loose suction n hurt motor . If fine I'm gonna getto it a lil till get Cai? thanx

I did that mod on my intake. I noticed better throttle response as I can actually hear more air being pulled in and I received no codes. You also get a little engine growl. It sounds nice. I did this mod on a 1998 Jeta VR and had the same effects.

Cool thanks I talked to dodge n they said I should be fine too. I'm looking for some really breathable cloth foam stuff like Wuts on the bottom of floor buffers to catch dabree

K&N make a filter that is not as restrictive as the OE. It will filter the air just as well as the stock unit and keep debris out of the intake manifold.
