Default HELP 06 durango transmission codes

Hey dodge world.. little background on the situation! Purchased a 06 durango limited earlier this week, two days later it threw a code for wrong oil, po700 (general TCM), and po750 (faulty solenoid). Dealer i purchased it from towed it back to them and changed the oil which they admitted the tech put in 5w-30, not 5w-20. They say that the battery was reading 9.3 volts and that the solenoid needs 10v to work properly and since it was low voltage it triggered the check engine light and the reason why it wasnt shifting properly. They put a new battery in. and no check engine light now and drives fine they say. My question is has anybody had this happen and does this make sense or does it sound like the dealer is trying to pull a fast one?

I asked for a transmission flush and filter change in good faith and they said they would do it but want me to sign something saying the issue is resolved. sound shady?!

thanks for any insight!

also they gave me a zurich 3 month/3,000 mile zurich warranty which says is provided by the seller.. is that an actual warranty or saying that individual dealer has to cover it and does signing that release void that?

1) dont have a transmission flush done, they cause lots of problems down the road (blow seals, clog filters ect) just change the fluid and filter
2) dont sign anything until YOU are satisfied that it is correctly repaired
3) im moving this the 2nd generation section for you so that you get some assistance

Coasty,

I agree with what was said above about not doing a flush. As far as a Zurich 3/3 warranty goes, they are a service contract company out of Kansas and they would be the only ones who could tell you what voids the coverage.

"Signing something saying the issue was resolved", what are we talking about here, exactly? Is it some type of separate form specifically stating these specific repairs have fixed the issue?

I would be kind of hesitant to sign anything saying the problem has been resolved. They should be giving you something in writing saying the problem was resolved, not the other way around.

Yea it was a form releasing them from liability from the vehicle... Says I can't sue them... Won't talk bad about them... Etc. I told them there's no way I'm signing it and nice try! Lol my father in law is a lawyer so no way I'm signing that! So they changed the battery and ran full diagnostics on it and everything checked out so they returned it to me and I'll change the fluid in the tranny myself! Thanks for the insight! Definitely no flush just gonna change it and change the filter!
