Default Slow shifting from 1st to 2nd

Hi,
I have a recent problem that appeared after i got the transmission filters and fluid changed. The tranny is slow to shift gears, takes a lot more revs to shift but shifts smoothly and drives normal and once in top gear all is well.
Work done at an independant garage. Have they done something wrong?
Or is there a problem with my tranny?
My truck is a Ltd Durango 5.7 lt 2005 with 149000 kms
thanks
Reggie

Reggie,

It is possible that the independent may have missed something or done something wrong but I don't want to point fingers.
You have two option here though.
You can go back to the Independent where they should be taking a look at it with no questions asked.
Or you can take your Durango to your local dealer to have it inspected.
Either way, get it looked at before it gets worse.

Let me know how you make out.

I would check the fluid to make sure it is at the correct level.

Hi ,
As suggested, I have checked the transmission oil level it is at the correct level, I have booked the independant to drop the pan and have a look at the main filter and seal after this weekend.
They have no prob with that. Scanned and no fault codes too.

Verify that they are putting in ATF+4 ONLY. Any other transmission fluid will kill your transmission.
