I have a 2004 Dodge Durango with the 5.7 Hemi. Lately the accelerator pedal has been sticking. Sometimes when you push down on the accelerator when you release it doesn't return. When the accelerator sticks the remedy is to pull the pedal up with your foot. This is happening with more and more frequency. Before I start taking things apart and regret it I would like to canvas the community hoping that the problem is something simple. I am hoping that this can be solved with a little WD-40 but I look forward to suggestions on where to apply it.

I would take it to a mechanic before it sticks and you can not release it. Put the vehicle in neutral if that ever happpens.
