Default Pcm????????

Hi
Just came back from dealer and check my 2302 and 2308 code error
Found i need a new ign powertrain control.
Where is it located durango 2004 4.7 l
and where i can get one not to expensive
dealer want 1K

Ok installing the part itself isn't that difficult, but you need the dealer to reprogram it..
It has to show the correct mileage, and be connected to your VIN number.

^ the pcm itself will run you about 250-275

My suggestion is to see if a regular shop will do the job for less than 500

It seems like the older they are, the more Chrysler wants for them. You can get the reman. from the parts store or even a used one. Either way, if you have SKIM (security key) the PIN number will have to be programmed. A meager amount compared to a grand. On a used one, a "PCM Replaced" procedure on the scan tool will force a VIN change in the PCM. You just have to be aware that the used one can/may have it's own issues.
