2005 Durango
I started my Durango this evening and the check engine lite came on and would not go off. Stopped and got a code reading of U1120, read several posts on here and raised the hood and the hose was off the filter box Hmmm. Pulled the neg. cable scraped the cable and posted, put back tightened up started it up and light was gone.. FYI if you get a code U1120, Goood Luck!!
U1120-Lost wheel distance message
Set condition: the PCM doesn't receive a vehicle speed signal from the anti-lock brake module over the CAN C bus.
Possible causes:
CAN C bus circuit open or shorted
Anti-lock brake module
PCM"
The CEL may come back again, disconnecting the battery will reset the light temporarily.
Hopefully it doesn't though, welcome to DF.

Dakotaff, where would I find the CAN C circuit or the anti-lock brake module. Traded my truck in for the wife a new car and inherited this thing and failed to tell me it needed breaks when getting new tires..Go figure!!
Thanks for your time!!
The CEL lights up because the PCM doesn't receive a vehicle speed signal from the anti-lock brake module over the CAN C bus. It seems a bad battery connection or weak battery sometimes causes this error. It could be a bad ABS module, bad PCM, or a simple one time error. See if it comes back, and if it does, it's best to have it serviced by a mechanic.
