Exclamation 07 Durango Horn not working.

Hi guys, I tried looking for some info on this but couldnt find it.
My horn was working fine till one day it started to change tones going lower and lower until it quit working. It wont work from the steering will nor the remote control when u arm it. Funny thing once in a while when I`m arming my alarm, it does go off. but if I do it again it wont work.
I checked fuse 16 in the engine compartent, I checked the relay using another relay from the same box and nothing, the relay clicks ok when activate the horn but there is no sound. I removed the grill and removed the wires from the horn, I put my light tester to see if I get any power to it but nothing.
I`m just trying to figure out if there is another spot between the relay and the horns that I can test power to it. I followed the wires but I think it only goes from the horn to the Relay box. Everything elase works fine in the car, when I press the stering wheel u can hear the relay working but not sound.
ANy help will really be appreciated.
Danny

Danny,

Do you have an after market remote start or alarm system on the vehicle that could be causing your horn concern? You may want to review further with your Dodge dealer, as they will be able to assist in pin pointing the concern and advise what is causing it.

Hi, no, no aftermarket alarm or anything like that, eveything is factory, remote and and horns. Any other ideas, it seems simple just gotta figure it out. Anyone out there ?

TOZ,

I understand that you may be trying to repair the vehicle yourself, however, I have reviewed with the Technical Support Group and the most reliable, efficient and accurate way to diagnose the horn system would require the use of a scan tool. I'm sorry I am unable to provide a more detailed response, however as previously advised I would recommend talking to your Dodge dealer for some help, as it may save you time and money in the long run, other then trying to figure out where the problem is yourself.
