I'm having a problem with my Durango not starting sometimes it will crank over and start every time and then it will just click, or it will start to turn over then stop. When it does this I have found that sometimes when you hit the key in it will start. I have replaced the starter and the ignition switch. It is almost like it is losing a connection somewhere, but it will work fine for a while then act up a few times. Any thoughts out there would be much appreciated thank you

 

Have you had the battery and alternator tested?

How old is the battery and alternator?

 

The battery and alternator check out fine. I have also notice that every time I take the steering column apart to lock for a bad connection and put it back together it starts just fine for a few days and then it starts acting up again. I am at a loss of where to look next.
