I have a 2005 Durango Limited w/5.7 Sudddenly when ignition is turned off nothing works as it should with drivers door open. Radio stays on, dome light does not come on, door ajar light not coming on. Even when door is unlocked manually and opened, factory alarm does not go off. Basically the vehicle is not seeing the door open. I figured it to be the door latch/actuator so I replaced that unit but all symptoms still exist. Any advice is appreciated.

 

Same problem with a 2004.

 

Make sure any recalls were addressed.

When you open the passenger door everything shuts off? If so I would suspect wiring problem in between the door and body from opening and closing the door one of the wires probably broke. I would open the door and pull back the black loom to expose the wires and see if any are broken.
