Hey cg,
First my wife has done that to my Durango and my T/A. Guess I'm not alone.
If you're getting gas it must be spark. Did a connection get knocked loose? I'm no expert just suggesting. BTW mine's an 05 and some posts on here say the buzzing behind the dash I have is the fuel pump relay. Where is it located and was it hard to change?

Try to turn the ignition to 'on' (not start or crank) a handful of times to prime the engine. You should here a whining noise from the fuel pump each time.

CG:
How much fuel have you put into it?
When you run one dry like that, it can take 4-5 gallons especially if the car is not level to get it primed and running.
As FF said, move the key from off to run several times to allow the pump the pump to prime and charge the system.
