Angry New Poster, Annoying Electrical issues...

Hey Guys,

I own a 2005 4.7l V8 Dodge Durango SLT. I purchased it with about 105k miles on it, and its been a great vehicle up to this point.

Recently while towing a trailer I purchased from a friend, I started experiencing VERY weird electrical problems. I was using an old pair of magnetic lights because the trailer didn’t have working ones, and im afraid the lights may have shorted something out.

At first my oil light started blinking very rapidly and chiming, causing a bunch of stress. The next day my whole dash panel started flickering and chiming, this has since stopped. My electrical issues persist.

The electrical issues im experiencing are intermittent, and I have no way of explaining them. The issues include: Windshield wipers not working, power windows not working, Headlights unresponsive (stuck on) and flickering, Fog lamps not working, turn signals not working, hazard lights not working, and trailer lights wont work...

Sometimes when my truck isn’t in “F*&^ed UP mode” as the Auto parts store has dubbed it, there is a weird clicking sound coming from either my Multi Function switch or the fuse panel near my break pedal. I cant determine which one it is because I don’t hear it while idling, only while driving and driving with my head that low poses a bit of an issue ☺. My truck enters “F*&^ed UP mode” normaly after one of these clicks, and my windshield wipers are currently stuck in the up position on my windshield.

Some things I’ve tried are: check fuses (none are bad), have battery tested (tested good) and I replaced the 4 prong relay on the inside fuse panel, not sure if it was bad, but it was like $5 and I figured that was the only thing i didnt know how to test.

Does ANYONE have any ideas? Anyone ever had this happen to their vehicle? Its rather aggravating Please help!.

Not sure if those ones have one, but check into the BCM, if it does have one. A buddy of mine had an intrepid that did those exact things. We check all the fuses and they checked out good. Upon closer inspection, we found a hairline crack in the fuse for the BCM. Changed the fuse, problems went away
