I have an issue with the door locks on my 2008 Dodge Durango, when I start to drive the door lock on their own as they are supposed to. Once I stop and put the vehicle in park I believe the door locks should unlock automatically and they are not. I have to unlock them manually, is there any thing I can check or replace to make this feature work. Thank you for all your input.

On my 04 the doors don't unlock until I open one of the front doors, not when I simply put it in park.

I think my 2007 was the same in that when you opened the door it would unlock.

well there is some sensing error i guess and you must got assisted by an expert in this regard to go good with it hopefully

 

This is a programmable option and there are directions in the owner's manual on how to change it.

However, I have not been able to change it as per the procedure in the manual. Might be something the dealer has to do.

If someone has been able to change their's I would sure like to know. Without fail, every time I park I jump out and go to open the backdoor to get the baby out and the stupid door is locked and I have to go back to the driver's door to unlock it.

Since I can't seem to program my brain to remember to unlock the door BEFORE I get out, I would be nice to program the vehicle to do it.
