Here is the deal. My gear shift cable broke, so I will replace tomorrow. However the transmission was "stuck" in low gear when this happened. I had to break loose the gear shifter on the transmission and now I can shift gears by hand but they are really easy. You cannot tell if you are actually switching gears. In other words no clicks when I go from park to any of the gears. My transmission guy tells me that there is a gear detent pin or something like that, that could go bad. It is above the valve body and can be replaced by dropping the pan, valve body and replacing.

I just do not know the part number so I can order it and the dealer is not being very cooperative...any one change this before?
