Hello i have a 2008 dodge durango and every time i turn on the a/c a bad smell comes out of the vents for the first two or three minutes. It doesn't matter if its the first time i turn it on or the 6th time i turned it on! Then sometimes no smell, whats going on and how can i fix this problem?

I'm sorry to hear about the odor you're smelling.

When did you first notice the smell? Is it something you notice in warmer, humid weather?

Typically, condensation will develop around the A/C cooling coil. In some cases bacteria growth can begin and a smell may develop.

Have you had your A/C system inspected yet?

 

bacteria like he said, or like pollen build up and stuff. I notice a slight smell in my truck from it, and my other cars all get it too. But I live in GA in the sticks.
