Unhappy Axle nut won't go back on?

I had to change my bearing hub and I managed to get everything changed and back on, but when I went to put the axle nut back on it turned a couple of times and then seemed to seize and wouldn't budge. Is it supposed to go on that hard? I don't want to force it and end up stripping it.

*Nothing* should be that hard to put back on.

I'm assuming it's not on all the way yet. Check your threads on both the nut and the spindle, make sure there's no damage. If you have a big enough set, run them through a tap and die to clean it up.

I usually get a speck of dirt in there that messes everything up for me. Make sure it's all clean.

Good luck!
