Ok here is what I got on my 2006 durango slt with a 4.7. It start about a year and a half ago. Every once and a while the ac would not cool. It will how ever go long times that this does not happen. So being on vacation this week I wanted to figure it out. I took a low side reading of around 30 psi. Thought it might have been a little low so I added a little to it. The ac was engaged and cooling so I kept adding and the psi never changed. Then I got to noticing the compressor was not disengaging but the psi stayed the same. It was however cooling. So I was puzzled by this and decided to do so investigation on the web. Anyway the next day it would not cool. I checked the pressure to find it over a 100 on the low side. This is good part though the compressor was then cycling but not cooling. I bleed some the refrigerant off the system it drop to 45 which makes no sense I only bleed for a few seconds cause oil was coming out and making a mess. Then get this it went to cooling but not cycling again. Any help would be great thx.
