Upgrading shocks - manufacturer?
I'm looking to improve performance and handling around town. Our D isn't going to see any off road used, right now it rolls around so bad my wife gets sea sick.
I'd love to put on a set of 4600 Bilsteins and call it good, however Summit is out of stock on fronts for over a month and I'd like to have a matched set.
The only 'performance' shock I've used was a set of RS5000s on my old Toyota SR5, however they were very stiff, almost punishing.
Any input on shock selection?

X3 on the Bilsteins! They are made just 15 miles down the road from me in Hamilton, Ohio.
The going rate for a set of 4 seems to be in the $300 range shipped.
Lifetime warranty, and the D will ride the way it should have from the day it rolled out of Newark.

I ended up having to do the swap within a week after making the original post due to an unexpected road trip. There's a Napa store directly across the street from my work, I purchased a set of Napa branded shoc (Tenneco / Rancho) - I told the counterman I wanted their top of the line product, and he insisted this was their first line.
Absolute junk. Both original shocks on the driver's side were blown, no damping until 1/3 stroke and yet there was little to no difference in ride quality after installing the Napa branded shocks . After the road trip, I spoke with the store manager... no, the Napa branded shock is not their first line, nor would he recommend them for a vehicle that weighed as much as the Durango. We cut a deal, I ended up with Munroe Reflex shocks on all 4 corners. It sucked having to the do the job twice, but the ride is fantastic, Mrs. is very pleased and therefor so am I. Truck feels solid without a harsh ride.
