I am new to forum and hope that I can get some information. I have a 2005 Durango with the REC Navigation system. I would like to get the Lockpick to add rear camera. When I check the Lockpick web site it says REC must be rear camera compatible. Are all REC Nav units rear camera compatible? I have a white plug in the back of the unit but not sure if that is what they are looking for because they show on the website that 2006 and up are rear camera comparable. Sorry just want to know if I can add this feature to my awesome D

 

I put the lockpick on my 2008 Dakota, I think its a different Nav system than your 2005. On my Dak the camera plugged into the lockpick which then outputted to the Nav unit.

What might be an issue is the Nav unit has to be smart enough to know to switch to the rear cam view when you shift the trans into reverse. I don't think the lock pick can do this. You may end up having to manually switch the Nav unit to rear cam. This would be fine for using it to occasionally hook to a trailer but would be annoying for backing up.
