Default Plasti Dip Lights

Hey guys, I'm going to do a little work to my 04 Durango thus weekend. I want to do some plasti dipping. I'm going to do my grille, the inside of my head lights (Not the clear plastic, the mirror finish on the inside) and my be the fenders and lower body. I would like to do the rear lights. Has anyone had any experience doing them? I would like to do it like the head lights and not smoke over the whole thing. Please and thank you!

Do you mean opening up the lights and dipping the internals?

Yes. I did the tail lights by just painting over it completely and cutting out the circles where the light shines through. Looks badass. I haven't gotten to my headlights yet though.
