only the outer tie rods! what?!
So I was reading the factory service manual (FSM) that I obtained from the link floating around in this forum somewhere. I have some weird wear on my tires so I thought I'd read the section of the FSM on steering and I came across this sentence "The only serviceable component on the steering gear is the outer tie rod ends."
Now, I'm a little confused because I went to find the best price on some outer tie rod ends and behold, inner tie rod ends are sold for the Durango.
Hmmmm....that's odd
So, the writer of the FSM must mean that the only serviceable components on the steering gear are the inner and outer tie rod ends???? If so, how do I test if the inner tie rods are bad: The FSM has no section on them???

There is an excellent video on youtube by "ChrisFix" titled "How to Change Tie Rods (inner and outer tie rod ends)"
It will also show how to know if its bad. But essentially if it moves very easy then it is worn
