Talking Getting New Tires & Rims

The tread on my current BFG's are like new, but after only 2 1/2 years, the sidewalls are dry-rotting. So, I decided to get new tires and while I was there, get some new rims (what the hell).

Did I over-do it? ATX rims - stayed at 17" and Wrangler Dura Trac tires 265/75R17.

The wheels look cool, but those tires may be noisy on the highway.

Agreed, those tires are a bit noisy on the highway. Not nearly as bad as mud tires, but they do have a bit of drone at 55+.

Talking Nice Tires - Quiet Too

Well, have had them on about a week or so. I have to admit, a lot quieter than I thought!

I've gone as fast as 70mph for several miles, and while not as quiet as the previous tires, they're not very much louder. Almost as if I changed out one road noise for another.

The "tshshshshshs" road noise with the flatter tread for the "roll" of the more aggressive tread. Not loud by any means.

I really look how they look too! I haven't taken a picture of them on the ground yet, only one while they were putting them on. (Which I'd post but my upload limit is capped at 50Kb..lol)
