2006 Durango Hemi. We unlock our truck with the key, open the door and the horn honks. The manual says that unlocking with the key should disarm the security system.

 

Hi there I may be having a problem with my caravans system as well. What I was told by a dodge technician if the red circular light flashes on your dash upon turning your ignition there is a problem. He also said something about your horn sounding twice then something tripped your system.... don't know if this is true just the info I was given.

 

I haven't seen any TSBs related to your concern. Does this happen every time you unlock your Durango with the key?

I recommend bringing your vehicle to an FCA dealership for a formal diagnosis.
