Odd transmission random problems 04 Durango
I drive a 2004 Durango, 5.7 Hemi engine, 2wd, 248,xxx miles...
At the beginning of February I was headed to work when my truck jerked, acting like I'd hit a large pothole, then traveled no further. No drive, no reverse. No check engine lights, thus no codes. Due to everything we replaced the torque converter and rebuilt the transmission.
Everything was good to start with, but then once in a while it would start shifting hard and not acting right, but then the next day it'd be perfect again. However earlier this week, two weeks after getting it back & driving it daily, even a few 100mi one way trips, it started really shifting hard and then I completely lost 1st, 4th, & 5th as well as reverse. Because I have a code reader we've checked the codes reach time the light has come on. Codes we've gotten include 4th & 5th great ratio off, fluid pressure sensor malfunction, as well as a few other ones, different each time.
I need some guidance on what to do with this....
We did replace the solenoid pack about 15,000 miles ago. I've put maybe 1,000 miles on the newly rebuilt transmission.
Edit to add: after letting my truck sit overnight I had a fully functional transmission again. Also my fluid levels have been spot on, except for the one time we checked it & the stick said it was over full, with no fluid having been added to it since these issues started because it's been perfect the whole time.
