Default Emissions problem!!

Hello All,
I have a 2008 Dodge Durango Hemi 5.7 , bought it new, but until now I haven't had any problems with it, I recently changed the Gas from 95 Octane to 90 Octane because the prices have gone high in my country and the car is not being used that much I decided to fill it with 90 Octane-I have did my research and I found that I can use 87 Octane- now I have been using the 90 Octane gas for 55 days approximately the check engine indicator came up, so I checked it with OBD 2 and it gave me code P0406 that says the emissions is sensing something something ... , so after all this I want to ask could lowering the Octane number from 95 to 90 cause all this? or is it just the timing of the failure that let me think that?
FYI: The odo meter is now on 187 Thousand kilometers.

P0406 is basically EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve position fault. Common failure on these engines. Mine needed replacement somewhere around 70k miles. Easy to replace and plenty of videos on youtube if you search "5.7 hemi egr valve".
