Crankshaft sensor wiring issue?

Yes. BUT, you have 2 cylinders off on one bank, so it won't help you at this point. Go after the low compression. You can zero in on the cause a bit with a cylinder leak tester. Possibly even just by observing the valve train under the valve cover. I would run it at little as possible to keep from damaging anything worse.

Actually DON'T take anything apart !!!!

Whatever warranty you have on the engine may get voided if you open it up. The salvage yard needs to send you another one or refund you.


Good used 4.7s are hard to find anymore.

The previous owner is the one who purchased the used motor. They couldn't get it running so I bought it. So no warranty to void

Ok pulled valve cover off cam lobe, springs and rocker arms look good top side. And it's dead 0 on compression on number 3. Broke ring I guess??? Poured 1/2 cup of tranny fluid in it and cranked it.no difference

Assess whether you want to burn money tearing it down and fixing it or get another engine.
