Default Hello Everyone. Code P2096

Hello, this is my first time owning a Dodge. The one I have is a white 2007 Dodge Durango. I really like the vehicle, but after a p2096 code showed up, I'm ready to give it up. The mechanic said worst case scenario $1000 or best case $100.00.

Default p2096

A p2096 code showed up Tuesday morning. I was informed from the mechanic that the vehicle would have to be dropped off, and then tested the next day to see what the problem is. I asked what is the worst case scenario, and was informed catalyst converter. Price range can go from 1000.00 to 100.00. The reading for this code Post Catalyst Fuel Trim Sys Too Lean Bank 1. Am I looking at $$$$$???
